First Appointment!!!

Today I went to Orientation at the Birthing Center that I have chosen to use. I have always wanted to have a water birth and I finally get an opportunity, because in Georgia, where I lived there was no where to have a water birth except home. Home Births are great, but I don't think I am ready for that yet. While I was there they were able to work me in for my first appointment. Everything looks good so far. Then she scheduled me for an ultrasound. So I met my dh at Olive Garden we had lunch and went back to the center. She could not see the baby which means I am really early. I figured as much because I usually know when I am pregnant pretty early. I would say that I am 3-4 weeks and if that is the case they should be able to see the baby within another 3-4 weeks. Needless to say I am exhausted after running around all day. I was at the center 3 times. But I am enjoying every minute of it. I love being pregnant and am so thankful God has given me another chance. Monday they are supposed to call me with my hcg level and it should give an "estimate" of how far along I am. Have a blessed day!!!

Oh Praise the Lord. I am so super excited for you. I had a waterbirth with Emma (it was a homebirth though). I HIGHLY recommend waterbirthing. It was great. You can great my birth story on my blog but here are the water birth highlights. I stayed on my "birthing" ball until I thought I just couldn't take it anymore. Then I got in the birthing pool and it helped soooooo much. The midwife got there right after I got in the pool and I was at 8. I got to 10 and was ready to push in less than 40 minutes. The pushing was awful : ) but Emma was born in the sac (her water never broke) which made it much harder since there was no lubrication (inside) while pushing. But being able to roll around and get in any position you want in the water was awesome!!!

Sorry so long. I am just super excited for you.
